The intersection of fashion and function. Got these half a size down and they fit perfect after two ish sessions. The upper toe box rubber is ideal for my toe hooks, and the slightly downwards bent curve was a welcome upgrade after ten years of beginner level shoes. The all black look gets compliments. The lacing system takes a minute but I leave my feet in the shoes the whole session, and demounting them is fast. An absolute joy and pride to use and own.

Wasn’t sure how I felt about these when I ordered them but let me tell you they fit like a glove. I got my true street size in shoes and they have no dead space with the perfect amount of toe curl. (Quick tip for finding your true shoe size is go to a shoe center and get a digitial scan of your foot quit guessing based of your street shoe. My street shoes are all over the place due to brand size differences. Get the scan find your true size and buy that in here. Don’t down size any SO ILL shoes they don’t stretch like other brands. Use their recommended sizing. ) The toes are responsive and soft. I’m used to a split sole but I really enjoyed the mono it’s soft enough in the center where it still felt like a split sole with a tad bit more stiffness. Getting them on and off the with quick lace system was actually pretty convenient and the break in was smooth.

The shoes I previously climbed in were very rigid and the heel was quite aggressive, so I'd been having some pain in my toes. For those reasons I wanted to try a softer shoe. After trying about ten different pairs I landed on these because they were just so comfortable! Now I've done several long sessions in them and they are still exceptionally comfy. I'm not feeling any pain even if I don't take them off for an hour or two. My slab climbing has definitely improved because of how flexible these are.
Additional info, I'm a V4-5 indoor climber, mainly boulders and some top rope.

I mixed this with Tokyo black and my hands won’t let go of holds. Even with my extra sweaty hands this mixture dries them up and keeps me on the wall.
I have terribly sweaty hands. I can think about climbing and my hands start dripping sweat. Black powder is amazing stuff even when my hands hit their peak pump this powder keeps me dry.
Bought two pairs one in black and one in green absolutely love them. Can wear them all day and feel completely comfortable.
This is the second sweatshirt I bought from so ill, the first one my husband loved. And so my son wanted one. The shipping is so fast, the packaging is incredible, and the quality is perfect. They both love the oversized fit.

I put it on immediately when it arrived and it felt absolutely wonderful!!!! Thick without being overbearing or too heavy. Fit just right. The inner fleecy feel was heavenly. Love the details. Bought the green to match my shoes bought last year! Going to likely buy it in black next.

Love the shoes, previously had evolv phantoms in size 9.5 mens, ordered these in 9.5 as well but the toe doesn't scrunch as much as I was used to. Just a bit of space inside for my toe to pull away from the tip but other than that definitely a great shoe. Though I wear size 10 vans, I would probably get these in size 9 next time.

Full disclosure, I bought this Travel Kit (“Spit Kit” if you have military in the family) for my husband and one for myself for Christmas!
